WOW!!!!!It has been a very busy month. I'm a Manager now

I'm glad to be back blogging.

When I first starting with Gold Canyon I just wanted to make some extra money.  With me being a full time employee, full time student and mom I couldn't get a job outside of the house and I had to have an extra income so I looked to Direct Sales and Gold Canyon was my choice.

I never thought to go into leadership.  Wasn't on my mind at all.  If anything I planned on having just three people under me so that I would be able to do fundraisers by myself ( Without, three people under you, your upline will have put in the fundraiser for you and therefore get some of the credit).  I wanted to do fundraisers all by myself.  So in January I had an oppuruntiy to get a fundraiser.  I proceed to attempt to recurit 3 people.  In addition, to doing fundraisers with three people I am now listed on the Gold Canyon website as a consultant so that I can get referreers from the company.

Great right?  I was happy with just three people and then my upline, Claire informs me that if I move up to the next level I would get:


$250.00 and a all expenses trip to AZ for a manager's retreat.  Wow really now.  I started working and I am happy to say that I made it.  I had to have 5 people under me and two of my people had to have 1 each under them.  I am so excited about this company.

It's Snowing Out, What a great time to burn candles

I have been home all day enjoying the wonderful smell of Gold Canyon Candles.  I took a nap with the scent of Rose in my bedroom.  Hmmmm  I love Rose, smells like fresh roses everyday.  What a great smell. 

In my kitchen I have two candles burning: Warm Apple Crisp and Pineapple Upside Down Cake.  It's like a mixture of Pineapples and Apple with cinnamon mixed in.  You have to be here to truly understand how great it smells.

SCENT OF THE WEEK: BIRTHDAY CAKE

Do you like for your home to smell like you have just baked a cake with frosting.  This is what our Birthday Cake candles smells like.  You will want to just eat it all the time.  It has a scrumptious aroma of a freshly baked vanilla cake with creamy frosting.  When I lite my birthday cake candle I forget that I'm not baking a cake. The entire house smells like.

Product Review: Homeology

Gold Canyon's Homeology is a line of home cleaning products made by Gold Canyon.  I have tried the glass cleaner and the floor cleaner for the first time Saturday during my weekly cleaner session and I must say that I was totally impressed with both products.  The glass cleaner got my mirrors very clean, very clear without leaving any marks. For the floor cleaner I was a little hesitant as if it would clean my floors with just the product and a microfiber mop so I cleaned my master bathroom with my regular solution of bleach and pine sol and once that was dried I then proceeded to use the Homeology on the floor for a shine.  By the time I got to the kitchen downstairs I had decided that I would try the Homeology in the way that it was made to be used: on dry, sweep floor. Let me tell you my floor was just as cleaned with just the Homelogy as it was with my regular solution.  I was truly impressed!  Stains were lifted and dirt  removed with this product. The floor cleaner will work on all floors including ceramic, tile, laminate, linoleum and hardwood.  So one bottle will clean everything instead of having to use one thing for wood floors and one thing for laminate, etc.

Plant-Based - The active ingredient are from natural sources.  There are no artificial dye, ammonia or phospates.  It is non-toxic  and has no chlorine.  It also has never been tested on animals.


Aromatherapy - Fragrant essential oils clean as wonderfully as they smell.  Homeology cleanse, disinfect and deodorized with essential oils which has been used for ages and is known for their cleaning, health and aromatherapy qualities. The all purpose cleaners is made with rosemary mint; the floor cleaners has Lavender Eucalyptus Sweet Orange and the the glass has Peppermint Eucalyptus.

Product Review: Wickless Scent Warmers and Scent Pods

I want to introduce you to a wonderful product.  I mentioned them below when I was speaking of my delivery that I received a couple of weeks ago.  Now I want to tell you personally about this product.  

Scent warmers are perfect for anyone who can't or don't want to light candles.  

Unlike other warmers Gold Canyon warmers do not use light bulbs but they are plug-ins.  You just plug it into your wall and go. Now get this not only does the warmer plug into the wall but they have a timer.  You can set the timer to turn off automatically at 4, 8 or 12 hours.  So it doesn't have to be all all the time and you don't have to stay around to turn it off.

Back to School tomorrow :-(

Well I'm sad right now. As I sit here realizing that my winter break is done with as of tomorrow.  Classes start again.  Oh well, it is what it is.  I am taking 5 classes, 15 credits plus work plus Gold Canyon plus life. It will work out somehow.  I do know that I really need to get rid of the procrastination disease and work on my time management skills if I am going to get though it all this semester.

I am taking three major classes ( Law of Simple Contract, Legal Research and Writing and Corporation Law) so I know that I'm looking at three major writing assignments .  In addition I am taking two 8 week courses in Word and Excel.  Looking back I am asking myself "what was I thinking"?

I am making up for lost time.  If I had gotten my degree when I was 20 B.C. (Before Child) I wouldn't be trying to get my Associate degree at 40 years old.  The good thing about this however, is that this time around I'm hungry for it.  I am in two honor societies with a 3.3 gpa.  When I went the first time I majored in partying which I passed with flying colors LOL.  This time around it about working hard and getting what I started.

Off to read the first chapter for class tomorrow night!

It's Play Off season

I just love Football and this time of the season is the best. Everyone starts off equal. The regular season doesn't matter anymore. Let's Go Green people:  Jets and Eagles.

Oh and on the candle home front today we are all burning our candles. In my office I have "Pillow Talk" going, Son has " Ginger Lime" in the living room and the ex - husband is burning " Cranberry Orange burning in his room. It smells so good in here right now.

Off to enjoy my pizza and game. I do believe that a nap is in order also.

PARTY, PARTY, PARTYYYYYY

I have spend the last few days trying to customize my blog but I realize as nice as I make it, if I don't have anything interesting written nobody will come.  So I am building and I am hoping that your come and stay awhile.

Today, I want to talk about how easy it is to host a party with me so that you can get free, yes free candles.

When most people think of parties they think of having a house party and having to invite people over, which means cleaning the house (unless you keep your house extremely neat and clean all the time) and providing something to eat but that doesn't have to be the case.  Even if you don't live in the same state as me you can still get free candles and it is so easy to do.  Now house parties are great because you can smell all of our wonderful scents and you get to hear me be me for about 45 minutes which I love doing. I love being around people and meeting new people.

I Got a delivery today....

So I got home from work and I have not one, not two but 3 boxes from Gold Canyon waiting for me. It's like Christmas in January. Have I mention that I love, love, love candles. Well if I haven't let me say that I love candles LOL. Seriously, it wasn't a surprise as I knew that they were coming but I love opening up the boxes and looking though all of the boxes. To make matters ever more enjoyable is looking at my son's face as he smells each candle. Now we are talking not about a little boy but a grown teenager loving all of the scents.

Are you ready for me to tell you want I got today. I will just name a few items. Some items will be discussed at a later date. Ok here it goes:
